SUBA E – Waste Campaign

SUBA E –Waste Campaign

SUBA and HOPE Services are working together to keep the streets of East Salinas clean and help create jobs for people with disabilities.

The program is called “Waste to Wages”. All of the E-Waste that is collected from our monthly E-Waste collection day is recycled with a California State Certified Recycler to ethically reduce and reuse. None of the E-Waste collected is shipped overseas. The recycler pays HOPE Services for the E-Waste that was collected, in return the revenue that was generated pays for work hours for these individuals with disabilities and are able to work in our community to help keep our streets clean.

To this day HOPE Services has diverted over 500 tons of E-Waste from the Monterey County Landfills.
