Standing Committees

SUBA has the following committees.  Please volunteer to serve on one of these important committees, and bring your ideas and recommendations.

Special Events Committee

The committee works together with Marketing & Promotions Committee to organize such activities as the annual El Grito Street Festival, Rodeo Parade, Christmas Posadas, etc.

Meetings: Every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the SUBA office

Marketing & Promotions Committee

The committee is responsible for planning activities and events such as our newsletter, web-site, mixers, festivals, grand openings, parades, expos, etc.

Meetings: Second and fourth Thursday at 9:00 am at the SUBA office

Policy & Built Environment Committee

The Committee is responsible for setting and  reviewing policies that will impact our business district and our association.  In addition, they review projects and programs that will affect our business district and provide recommendations to the appropriate agencies.

Meetings: Second and third Thursday at 3 pm at the SUBA office.

Safety Committee

The Committee works closely with the SUBA officers to inform businesses of  illegal activity in our business district.  The Committee also provides safety tips and other vital information to business owners on prevention.  Safety meetings are also held in various businesses throughout the district.

Meetings: Second and fourth Wednesday at 8:30 am at the SUBA office

Business Resource Center Committee

The committee is currently working on scheduling computer training for beginners.  SUBA has computers available for SUBA members to use. Contact the SUBA office for more information.
